  2. The Math situation at IIIT gets worse for CND students. We have identical Math courses to that of CSE students, even though our curriculum includes many compulsory science courses, most of which require heavy usage of math.

Just to give an example, we had Classical Mechanics and Electrodynamics as our compulsory physics courses during the second sem. Both courses especially Electrodynamics required considerable usage of Multivariable and vector calculus. But, since both courses were half-semester courses and the syllabus to be covered was way too much for a half-semester course, we weren’t taught any of Multivariable or Vector calculus properly. It was left upon us to study these topics ourselves.

Most of us share the opinion, we additional Math courses like Multivariable and vector calculus, differential equations must be included in the CND curriculum. Most of us require it during our research but it is not included as a part of standard curriculum.
