Ping! merges with Blogs@IIIT
Dear Ping! readers,
We are writing to inform you about a significant change in the media landscape of our institute. Ping!, the independent student-run magazine, will be merging with Blogs@IIIT, the institute-run newsletter, effective immediately. The decision to merge has been made due to financial constraints faced by Ping! and the need for a sustainable media outlet that can cater to the needs of our community.
We understand that this may come as a surprise to many of our readers and supporters, and we want to assure you that this decision was not taken lightly. We recognize the importance of an independent media outlet that can hold the institute accountable and provide a platform for student voices to be heard. However, we also believe that by joining forces with Blogs@IIIT, we can continue to provide quality content while ensuring financial stability.
As a result of this merger, Ping! will no longer be an independent student-run media outlet. Instead, it will be integrated into Blogs@IIIT, and the content will be published under the Blogs@IIIT banner. The editorial team of Ping! will work closely with the Blogs@IIIT team to ensure a smooth transition, and we hope to continue delivering the same quality content that our readers have come to expect from us.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our readers, supporters, and contributors for their support over the years. Ping! would not have been possible without your continued support, and we are grateful for every one of you who has been a part of this journey.
We also want to assure you that the editorial team of Ping! will continue to uphold the values and principles that have guided us so far, even as we transition into Blogs@IIIT. We remain committed to providing a platform for student voices to be heard and to holding the institute accountable.
Thank you once again for your support and understanding.
Sincerely,
Editors-in-chief, Ping! IIIT
(now Student-Blogs@IIIT)
