Open mic
The Litclub – organised Open Mic event allowed to participants to perform a variety of cultural activities without any prior planning, a good opener for an even better fest to come. It took place in the felicity ground at 3 P.M. IST and lasted till 4.30 P.M.
Students who had passes were allowed to attend, along with professors and others students residing in campus. The highlight of the event was the enthusiasm displayed by participants and the general high energy atmosphere.
Inaugurals
The inaugurals, organised by the Music Club, took place in the Felicity Ground.
The event set the trend for the fest, with a few words from eminent personalities; followed by musical performances by students of all batches. A very wide variety of songs was played – ranging from the well known Choo Lo by The Local Train to to Yaad Aa Raha Hai by Bappi Lahiri.
The main attraction was the talent on display from all batches alike and the enthusiasm shown by the quite cheerful crowd. Biswa, the famous standup comedian, graced the event with his charisma and charming impromptu humour.
Shipwreck
DebSoc and FHC held their premier shipwreck event at Seminar Hall 1, where participants were allowed to argue whether the role they’ve been assigned is the most worth saving from the sinking ship. The event consisted of 3 categories: non-essential workers, world leaders and super-villains, and the participants did their best to convince the joint panel of FHC and debsoc through short speeches defending their role. The event ended with a single winner and 2 runner ups.
