New Dean Academics
In a mail sent to students today, the director, PJ Narayanan announced that Prof. Jayanthi Sivaswamy would be stepping down from her role as Dean of Academics. Prof. Kishore Kothapalli is expected to take over on Monday, April 5th.
Prof. Jayanthi was the dean for six years and oversaw several changes to academics at IIIT, including the decennial curriculum revision for all programmes. She has also been active in the admissions process, introducing new schemes such as the Diversity Pool in 2020. As per the same mail, she will continue as the Chair of the Admissions Committee, which is now independent of Academics.
